The Scugog Business Program

The Township of Scugog in collaboration with Invest Durham and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rual Affairs developed the Scugog Business Program (SBP) to collect first-hand information about the challenges and opportunities facing local businesses with a goal to enhance the understanding of the actions needed to create an environment where businesses want to remain and grow in the Township. Interviews were completed with businesses across a range of sectors in the municipality.

The data from these interviews was analyzed and condensed into a summary. Six recommended key priority areas, with 30 potential actions. This report provides a summary of the SBP process, the key themes identified, and the action and implementation plan.
