Cold Weather Alert – January 18 to 21

Scugog – Please be advised the Township of Scugog will be under a Cold Weather Alert in effect the evening of Saturday, January 18, until the morning of Tuesday, January 21.

With temperatures expected to reach -15 degrees Celsius or lower and wind chill expected to reach -20 degrees Celsius or lower, it is important to be aware of temperatures when going outside, and to always be prepared with Survival Kits and plans on reaching warm sheltered areas to avoid prolonged exposure. The following warming stations are available within the Township of Scugog:

  • Scugog Community Recreation Centre (1655 Reach Street): Sunday to Tuesday, 6:00am to 12:00am
  • Scugog Municipal Office (181 Perry Street): Monday and Tuesday, 8:30am to 4:30pm
  • Scugog Fire Station 61 (30 Crandell Street): Monday and Tuesday, 6:30am to 5:00pm
  • Scugog Memorial Public Library: Sunday, 1:00 to 5:00pm; Monday, 10:00am to 6:00pm; Tuesday, 10:00am to 9:00pm
