Let us know your community priorities to help shape the 2025 Scugog budget
Scugog - The Township of Scugog is preparing the 2025 budget and wants to hear from residents and property owners about their budget priorities. Scugog provides programs and services to the community based on an annual Operating and Capital budget. Each year staff prepare the budget taking into consideration the needs of the community, economic pressures and drivers, growth, the services to residents as well as engineering priorities for infrastructure and asset management.
Long term sustainability is one of our main goals and as with many other municipalities across Canada, the infrastructure deficit continues to be a major issue that we must continue to address. Dedicated levies have provided the Township the means to tackle many large-scale infrastructure projects. Solid budget planning will continue to allow for upgrades to existing roads, bridges, sidewalks, parks, playgrounds, technology upgrades and more serving the Scugog community.
Input from the community is a vital part of the budget planning process. Let us know where you would like your tax dollars directed. Visit our Budget page on My Scugog, Our Community, to provide your input to the 2025 Budget by August 15. In addition to the budget feedback form, the My Scugog site provides information on how a municipal budget is built, the budget process timeline, budget facts, Frequently Asked Questions, and a comment form for you to ask a question. Scugog Finance staff are monitoring the site and will respond to questions submitted.
