Notice of Time Change to Upcoming General Purpose & Administration Meeting – March 3, 2025

Please take notice that; the previously scheduled General Purpose & Administration meeting of Monday, March 3, 2025, originally scheduled to begin at 1:30 PM will now begin at 11:00 AM in closed session followed by the regular scheduled open meeting beginning at 1:30 PM.

The following matters will be considered during the closed session:

•    One (1) Confidential Report to discuss labour relations or employee negotiations; pursuant to Section 239(2)(d) of the Municipal Act. 2001, with respect to IAFF Negotiations 

•    One (1) Confidential to discuss litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board, pursuant to Section 239(2)(e) of the Municipal Act, 2001, and to discuss advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose, pursuant to Section 239(2)(f) with respect to, with respect to legal contracts and an update on legal proceedings.

•    One (1) Confidential Report to discuss personal matters about an identifiable individual,  including municipal employees pursuant to Section 239(2)(b) of the Municipal Act, with respect to livestock investigator appointments.

•    One (1) Confidential Report to discuss a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local board pursuant to Section 239 (2)(c) of the Municipal Act, 2001, in regards to five land sale applications in the Township of Scugog.

The agenda will be published and available for the public to view as of Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 8:30 a.m.

The closed session portion of the meeting will not be livestreamed or open to the public.
