Splash Pad Service Interruption

As part of our Waterfront Action Plan, the Township of Scugog will be replacing the current Palmer Park Splash Pad as well as installing new washrooms in the park. To achieve this, the water service to the park must be upgraded. Construction on Water Street pertaining to these upgrades will begin Monday, August 19, with the water supply to the splash pad scheduled to be disconnected on Tuesday, August 20, as part of the installation. It may take up to two weeks for a potable water supply reconnection; during this time, the splash pad will not be functional. Due to this timeline, reconnection of the water prior to the seasonal shut down of the splash pad may not be possible.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience during the work required to install a new washroom and replace the splash pad in Palmer Park.

While we strive to plan accurate schedules, any forecasted date can be subject to change due to weather conditions and other factors.

To learn more about the final design of the splash pad including a short video of the features, visit our Splash Pad project page. Further information about the construction taking place can be found through our previous Splash Pad construction news release.
