Volunteer
Volunteering in the Township of Scugog is a great way for residents to give back to the community. There are also volunteer jobs for high school students completing their community hours.

Township Youth Ambassador Program (TAP)
The Township Ambassador Program is an opportunity for students to become involved with their community while gaining valuable experience and volunteer hours. Township Youth Ambassadors work with the Township Summer Special Events Student to organize and promote our community's summer events and manage our volunteer database. The Scugog Shores Museum needs volunteers for different areas, including:
- Collections management
- Database entry
- School programs
- Gardening and maintenance
- Special events - Canoe the Nonquon, Heritage Day, Children's Old Fashion Christmas, and more!

Recreation staff also accept volunteers for programming and events, including:
- Camp volunteers
- Program assistants
- College/University placement students
- Special events - Canada Day
