Community Grants Committee

2022-2026 Council Term Board & Committee  

The mandate of the community grants committee is to act as a deciding body on all complete applications for funding and is responsible for monitoring and administering the Grants Fund in accordance with the Delegation of Powers and Duties Policy.  

Grant applications will only be considered if the criteria noted within the community grants policy is met and the application(s) is submitted within the approved deadlines noted below. 

The 2024 applications will be due by 4:30 p.m. on the following dates: 

  • December 8, 2023 (for events occurring between Jan-March) 
  • March 15, 2024 (for events occurring between April-June) 
  • June 15, 2024 (for events occurring between July-Sept) 
  • September 15, 2024 (for events occurring between Oct-Dec)

  • **December 6, 2024  (for events occurring between Jan-March in 2025) 

The Community Grant Fund supports not-for-profit groups/individuals that provide our community with great programs and services. Grants are provided to help individuals/organizations run programs, provide services or complete special projects and more! Please review the Community Grants Policy for more information. 

As per the policy requirements, awarded applicants are required to submit the summary sheet to the Corporate Services Department within one (1) month from the date of the event. Failure to provide the summary report and/or proof of expenses may result in potential ineligibility for future grants, this decision will be made at the discretion of the Director of Finance. If you have an interest in applying to be a member of one of our Council approved Committees select "view" from the chart below, find your committee of interest, and click "apply" to complete the Application for Appointment.
