Departments

The Township of Scugog has several departments responsible for municipal services. Our Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) ensures Council policies are coordinated between Township departments and relevant agencies.

Departmental Structure 

The CAO is appointed by Council and handles the leadership and general management of the Township. The Senior Management team reports to the CAO and is comprised of six (6) departments these include: 

  • Corporate Services (Blair Labelle, Director of Corporate Services/Clerk)
  • Communications and Strategic Projects (Lori Bowers, Director of Communications and Strategic Projects)
  • Development Services
    • Planning and Building Services (Interim Warren Mar, CAO)
    • By-Law Services (Interim Mike Matthews, Director of Emergency Services and Fire Chief)
  • Finance Department (Laura Barta, Director of Finance/Treasurer)
  • Fire and Emergency Services (Mike Matthews, Director of Emergency Services and Fire Chief)
  • Public Works & Recreation Department (Grant Taylor, Director of Public Works & Recreation)
