In an effort to facilitate a safe, inclusive, and constructive environment on Township of Scugog social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X), all participants must adhere to our Social Media Terms of Use. By engaging with our platforms, participants agree to these terms. Our Social Media Terms of Use include, but are not limited to, the following guidelines:
- Do not post graphic, obscene or explicit comments that are abusive, threatening, hateful or intended to defame anyone or any organization or comments that suggest or encourage illegal activity.
- Content that promotes, fosters or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, colour, age, religion, gender, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, national origin, physical or mental disability, gender identity or sexual orientation will not be tolerated.
- The Township does not allow solicitations or advertisements. This includes promotion or endorsement of any financial, commercial or non-governmental agency.
- The Township does not allow information that may compromise the safety or security of the public or public system.
The Township of Scugog reserves the right to:
- Remove any content that is deemed objectionable
- Ban/Block users in violation of the Terms of Use
